Activate a test merchant
Complete the gateway activation step after merchant provisioning.
Confirm account readiness
Requires authorized partner merchant-management access. Confirm the gateway ID, pending services, applicable agreement and recipient email before making changes. This is the gateway activation workflow, not a substitute for underwriting or the separate Merchant Sign-Up API.
Activate in the test environment
Use test status for a test merchant. Replace agreementTextId with the applicable identifier; do not reuse another account’s agreement. Verify activation and welcome delivery
Read back merchant status and enabled services through your partner tools. Confirm whether the welcome email arrived and the intended user can finish setup. Do not repeatedly PATCH solely to resend email.
Keep production separate
Production activation requires the correct approved merchant, agreements and enabled services. The test request does not prove live processing readiness.
