Recover Axium payments and offline queues
Axium can continue processing after the host disconnects. Recover the actual result before taking another payment.
Treat disconnection as loss of visibility
On host connection loss, TransactionUpdate reports AttemptingToReconnect. The terminal continues its transaction while the SDK reconnects. Once connected, the SDK retrieves the state and fires transactionFinished. Do not mark an order declined only because Bluetooth or TCP/IP disconnected.
Resolve Unknown outcomes
Terminating the reconnection loop returns Unknown result/state and MerchantTerminatedTransaction plus TransactionInformationUnavailable errors. That does not prove failure. Choose authorization policy explicitly
TransactionAuthPreference Behavior Online (default) Attempt online authorization; failure does not become offline acceptance. DeferredForced Start offline immediately. OnlinePreferred Attempt online, then allow offline fallback if it fails.
Upload the right environment queue
OfflineTransactionUploadMode Automatic uploads when connectivity returns. Manual requires processOfflineRequest with UserReference. Queued transactions stay bound to their original environment. Compare Environment from getTransactionInformation with getStatus; switching to Live does not upload Staging attempts.
Reconcile before compensating
After restoring visibility, persist approved results with the original order. Apply a void/refund only if the recovered payment and fulfillment policy require it. Keep unknown attempts open for investigation instead of issuing another sale. This recovery example requires the vendor SDK and an existing attempt; it is not an executable payment demo.
